Finally, the 10th issue of the series!
This time after the video we made together in September 2022, we started to discuss the possibility of creating an issue about his move from Paris to his city of adoption: Saint-Nazaire. Not the most famous and touristic city, here we talk more about an autobiography than an ephemeral trip.
Thomas App is one of the most famous photography YouTubers from France, with a channel dedicated to film photography obviously, but he organized special shows with contests, interviews, and more...

"I moved to Saint Nazaire in 2021, and what fascinates me about this city is its raw and massive post-World War II architecture, along with its seaside landscapes. Throughout my settlement, I've captured several analog images that not only depict my arrival in this new territory but also reflect my perspective on surroundings that feel oddly familiar."

Analog Photographer and Independent Filmmaker, Thomas App started his journey in photography using his father's analog camera. A self-taught artist, he refined his skills in both photography and videography through consistent practice. This is how he acquired the principles of composition and developed a keen interest in street photography and urban architecture.

Enfin, le 10e numéro de la série !
Suite à la vidéo que nous avons réalisée ensemble en septembre 2022, nous avons commencé à discuter de la possibilité de créer un numéro sur son déménagement de Paris vers sa ville d'adoption : Saint-Nazaire. Pas la ville la plus célèbre et touristique, ici on parle plutôt d'une autobiographie que d'un voyage éphémère.
Thomas App est l'un des vidéastes de photographie les plus célèbres de la scène française, avec une chaîne dédiée à la photographie argentique bien sûr, mais il organise également des émissions spéciales avec des concours, des interviews, et bien plus encore...

"J'ai déménagé à Saint-Nazaire en 2021, et ce qui me fascine dans cette ville, c'est son architecture brute et imposante post-Seconde Guerre mondiale, ainsi que ses paysages côtiers. Tout au long de mon installation, j'ai capturé plusieurs images qui non seulement illustrent mon arrivée dans ce nouveau territoire, mais reflètent également ma perspective sur des environs qui semblent étrangement familiers."

Photographe argentique et réalisateur indépendant, Thomas App a commencé son parcours en photographie en utilisant l'appareil photo analogique de son père. Artiste autodidacte, il a affiné ses compétences en photographie et en vidéographie grâce à une pratique constante. C'est ainsi qu'il a acquis les principes de composition et a développé un vif intérêt pour la photographie de rue et l'architecture urbaine.
