New York - Newspaper

New York is my first print project, it’s about my first trip to the city of New York and it was the first time I took only analog pictures (with an old Kodak Signet 35 with some Kodak Tmax400 and Ilford Hp5+).
It’s a very special thing for me.
I fell in love with the city so I went back to Big Apple few months after and took more and more pictures.
New-York is tall, big, old but so impressive.
I didn’t want a small A5 print. I wanted to feel the size and the feeling of the city in the prints.
That’s why I choose a newspaper format.

Francois Hosy is a freelance graphic designer, who started analog photography in 2016 and since then experimented with different camera, technique, and even create his own recycled handmade darkroom paper. His pictures are always a mix between architecture, still life and street photography.

New York est mon premier projet d'édition, il s'agit de mon premier voyage dans la ville de New York et c'était la première fois que je prenais uniquement des photos argentiques ( avec un vieux Kodak signet 35 avec du Kodak Tmax400 et Ilford Hp5+).
Cela a été un moment très spécial pour moi.
Je suis tombé amoureux de la ville, j'y suis donc retourné quelques moi après afin d'y prendre plus de clichés.
New-York est grand, rempli d'histoire et tellement impressionnant.
Je ne voulais pas d'une petite impression A5. Je voulais sentir la taille et la sensation de la ville dans les imprimés.
C'est pourquoi j'ai choisi un format journal.

François Hosy est un graphiste indépendant qui commença la photographie argentique en 2016 et expérimenta différents appareils photo, techniques et a même créé son propre papier de chambre noire recyclé (Wabi-Sabi). Ses photos sont toujours un mélange entre architectures, nature mortes et scènes de rue.
